Tales of The Gladiator, Limited First Edition

Limited to 2,500 copies at $495 each

The first Zane Grey book to be published in more than 75 years from a never-before-seen manuscript, Tales of The Gladiator passionately describes every fish sighting, hook-up and battle as only Grey could. The book contains 40 historic photographs, many of which have also never been published. Edited by award-winning journalist Capt. Dave Lear, each chapter is also complimented with a beautiful, content-specific illustration by acclaimed marine illustrator Steve T. Goione.

The Limited 1st Editions are hand-made from the finest Scandinavian aniline leather and period-perfect, exquisite, hand-marbled French paper. The book is finished with brilliant gold leaf trim in a three-quarter Moroccan style indicative of turn of the century publishing. Each book is numbered by hand and presented in a hand-made sail-cloth accented gift box. A certificate of authenticity individually signed and numbered by ZG Collections is included with each book.

The Gladiator, Chris Barela Bronze Sculpture

A limited edition bronze sculpture by renowned sculptor Chris Barela. Thirty of these incredible pieces are offered in the original size, four feet long and over two feet high, along with 100 at half scale. The original size is available for $17,950; the half-scale piece is available at $8,950.

Taken directly from the pages of Tales of The Gladiator, this amazing sculpture depicts Grey in the cockpit of his Southern California-based vessel The Gladiator during his 1926 battle with his 582-pound world record broadbill swordfish. In what is one of Barela’s finest pieces to date, the swordfish is bursting over two feet above the bronzed ocean surface. Grey’s determination is beautifully captured in a detail befitting the father of Place Ordermodern big-game fishing.

Limited to 250 numbered editions sold in sets of six at $749 per set.

From the French word meaning "ink sprayed on paper", giclée prints are at the forefront of today's printing technology. Archival inks are used on 100-year enhanced matte watercolor paper to provide the highest quality of print reproduction available today. Each print is handsigned and numbered by Steve T. Goione. Unframed prints are 15" x 20" with a white Place Orderborder for matting purposes and are shipped in a flat container.

Five different art pieces ranging from $225 to $325. The option to have each piece personally remarqued by artist Steve Goione is available for an additional $100 per piece.

These framed and matted art pieces show some of Zane’s most famous moments. Each photo is hand-colored; Long Key Notes includes pages from Zane’s original journal. Each piece includes a plaque with title, description and dates. Most include a second plaque with a quote from Zane that accompanies the scenes shown in the photos.
